What We Offer & How It Works

At Minhaj Academy, we run weekday evening and Saturday daytime classes tailored by age, level, and need.

Monday to Friday, after school (4:30 PM – 7:30 PM)

At Minhaj Academy, our weekday programme focuses on helping children develop strong Qur’ān recitation, a deep connection with daily prayer, and nuturing strong Islamic character and practice.

Students are placed into suitable levels, from Qa’idah and beginner recitation to advanced Tajweed, memorisation (Hifz), and understanding Salah.

We offer two flexible evening slots to accommodate family schedules and student learning pace, with limited group sizes and individual support.

Monday to Wednesday we teach Qā’idah, Qur’ān, Salāh, etc. Thursday* and Friday are for Islamic Studies where we teach Islam For Kids (Levels 1-6) series. Children from age 5-7 focus on their Qā’idah studies on Thursday.

📌 Our goal: confident, well-rounded young Muslims who love the Qur’an, know their faith, and live it with sincerity.

Real-life Comparison:

  • A basic tuition class in Manchester typically charges £10–15/hr.
  • Football or swimming lessons often cost £6–£10 per session.
  • A takeaway costs about £6–10 per person – for just one meal!

If you spent £1.50 per day on snacks, would you notice it? Probably not.
But if you invested the same in your child’s akhirah, discipline, and identity, would it be worth it? Absolutely.

🤝 Support and Concessions

We understand not every family’s financial situation is the same. That’s why we offer:

Frequently Asked Questions

At Minhaj Academy, our classrooms are structured to create a calm, focused, and nurturing learning environment. Each class is grouped by age and ability, allowing every student to learn at the right pace. We prioritise respect, discipline, and encouragement, ensuring students feel safe, motivated, and supported.

Class sizes are kept moderate (maximum of 15 students) to allow teachers to give individual attention, while fostering group learning and peer support. We follow a slot system during weekdays with two sessions per evening, and a structured day on Saturdays with a balance of Qur’an, Salah, and enrichment studies.

Every class will be occupied by a minimum of two teachers who are trained by our lead teacher. Our staff are trained in positive behaviour management and safeguarding, and we aim to build confident learners who enjoy coming to class, feel spiritually connected, and progress steadily in their Qur’ān and Islamic education.

We’ve made major upgrades to the curriculum, systems, teacher training, and class structure to ensure your child gets higher-quality Islamic education.

  • Structured 6-year curriculum with over 20 subjects
  • Smaller class sizes for individual attention
  • Real assessments and reports
  • Qualified staff with DBS checks and continuous training
  • Enhanced discipline, behaviour systems, and parent feedback loops
  • New enrichment activities: nasheed club, projects, trips, competitions, and more

These improvements come with higher operational costs, which is reflected in the new fees. However, we remain one of the most affordable, quality-driven academies in Manchester.

Though the lesson duration has been slightly reduced (from 2 hours to 1 hour 15 mins), the quality and structure have significantly improved.

Previously, longer classes meant:

  • Students often got tired halfway through
  • Little structure in lesson delivery
  • Delayed start times and disengagement

Now:

  • Lessons are target-based, paced, and focused
  • Teachers are trained to deliver more in less time
  • Attendance and punctuality are enforced strictly
  • Every session counts — no wasted time

💡 It’s not about how long we teach — it’s about how well we teach.

The average of the highest standard madrasahs are charging £40-£60/m, sometimes higher. We aim to be a comprehensive academy, not just a madrasah. Not just basic reading only, with limited follow-up.

🟩 At Minhaj Academy, you get:

  • Physical campus + qualified staff
  • Behaviour systems + policies
  • Parental engagement
  • Progress tracking + reports
  • Events, awards, & student development

❓Why don’t you offer lower rates like some mosques?

Unlike many informal settings, Minhaj Academy is an institution — not a casual evening class. We:

  • Provide a formal curriculum
  • Track termly progress
  • Employ trained and vetted staff
  • Use behaviour frameworks
  • Offer feedback systems and parental reports

We don’t just “teach” the Qur’an — we want to help students live it.

We understand the financial burden and offer: 50% off the 3rd and 4th child

Example:
3 children = £40 + £36 + £20 = £96/month (instead of £120)

🟨 We also offer a concession policy for low-income families.

Your monthly fee includes:

  • Qur’an & Tajweed lessons
  • Islamic Studies, Salah and Skills training
  • Homework & behaviour tracking
  • Use of learning resources and visual materials
  • Class competitions, enrichment activities
  • Access to parent meetings and reports
  • Special events, awards, and trips (where applicable)

Yes — our Hifz track is one of Manchester’s most supportive:

  • £50/month
  • Ages 8+
  • 3–6 year programme with memorisation, tajweed, and skills training
  • Emotional and academic support systems
  • Progress tracker and structured goals

Yes, fees are annualised. You pay monthly, but your payment covers:

  • Teaching weeks
  • Curriculum planning
  • Events, resources, administration, etc.

This is standard across structured academies.

We’re here to support. You may request a concession application via our admin office. We assess on a case-by-case basis.

Our goal is to never turn a child away from Islamic education due to money but we also need your honesty and cooperation.
